Editorial Policy

Who writes

Every post carries a named byline. Posts are written by HeyDev's founders, Mahima Arora, Yatish Goel, and Akshit Ahuja, who do the engineering work described. Author pages link to LinkedIn and GitHub so you can check the background behind a byline.

Where the material comes from

• Client rescue work. Case details are anonymised: we change or omit company names, locations, and figures that could identify a client, and we say so in the post.
• Vendor documentation and issue trackers. Where a post relies on documented behaviour (Vercel, Next.js, Stripe, Supabase, Neon, Cloudflare, Expo, Postgres), the Sources section at the end links to the primary source.
• Our own reproduction. Error messages, queries, and configuration in posts come from systems we have run, not from summaries of other articles.

Cost and timeline figures

Posts often give hour and dollar ranges for a fix. These are estimates drawn from our own engagements and from public contractor rates. They are labelled as ranges, they are not quotes, and your situation may differ.

Review

Authors check technical posts against the systems they describe before publishing. When a post has had a separate technical review by a second engineer, that reviewer is named under the byline; posts without that line have been reviewed by the author only.

Use of AI tools

We use AI coding and writing assistants for drafting and editing. Every technical claim, command, and code sample is checked by the author before publication, and the author is responsible for the content.

Corrections and updates

Each post shows its publication date and, when it has changed materially, a last-updated date. If you find an error, email mahima@heydev.us with the post URL and what is wrong. We correct confirmed errors in place and note significant corrections in the post.

Commercial relationships

HeyDev is a development agency and posts may mention that we offer rescue and audit work. We do not accept payment for coverage, do not run sponsored posts, and do not use affiliate links. Vendors named in posts have no commercial relationship with us unless a post states otherwise.
